Registration for the 2025–2026 school year is now open. Here's what to expect:
Email or call us with your child's name, age, and any Mandarin experience.
We place students by proficiency, not just age, to ensure the best fit.
Fill out forms and pay tuition to secure your spot.
We'll see you at Woodman Junior High.

Our school runs on community spirit. Parent volunteers help with everything from classroom support to event planning to administrative tasks.
No special skills required — just a willingness to pitch in. Many parents volunteer while their children attend class, making it easy to be involved.

Our teachers come from all backgrounds — some are professional educators, others are community members with a passion for teaching. What matters most is dedication to our students.
常見問題
家裡需要說中文嗎？
Not at all! Many of our families speak only English at home. Our program is designed to work for all backgrounds. That said, any exposure helps — even watching a Chinese cartoon together counts.
如果孩子已經會說一些中文呢？
We place students by proficiency, not just age. Your child will be in a class that matches their level, so they're always appropriately challenged without feeling lost.
為什麼教繁體字而不是簡體字？
We teach traditional characters (繁體字) to preserve the depth and beauty of classical Chinese writing. Students who learn traditional characters can also read simplified, but the reverse is harder.
成人真的可以和孩子一起學習嗎？
Adults have their own separate classes! Many parents learn while their children attend their classes. It's a nice way to make Saturdays a family learning experience.
高中學分是如何計算的？
Our Chinese Language and Culture 3Y courses are fully accredited by Alberta Education. Students earn 5 credits per course (10-3Y, 20-3Y, 30-3Y) that count toward their high school diploma. No prerequisites needed to start.
